Jacob Elordi recently revealed that Barry Keoghan was not his first choice for Emerald Fennell’s film Saltburn.

When asked by Jacob what drew him to Saltburn, Barry replied: So, the pages, yourself and the script…what about you? ”

Then Jacob said, ``Verily it was a page.'

The Kissing Booth actor revealed, "Then he [Emerald] said he wanted Timothy Chalamet to play the role. So I said have you ever thought about Barry Keoghan?"

Emerald has previously described her film as "a very British story of excess", teasing several scenes in a review of the film, and Our Watch founder Eric Anderson said that Barry's " "a complete performance... Pure courage."
